Surinder is a trusted advisor to senior corporate executives and policy makers across the region. He has over 30 years’ leadership experience in Singapore and across Asia with Standard & Poor’s, HSBC and Ernst & Young. He is Non executive director at several organisations, both non-profit and commercial. Governance, audit and risk committee member at several boards. Advisor to fintech and hedge funds. He has pioneered growth of new businesses: credit ratings, independent equity research, risk management and governance services.
He holds a master’s degree in management from the London Business School, and graduated with a bachelor of commerce from Sydenham College, University of Bombay. As a UK Chartered Accountant, he is a member of the Executive Committee of the Investment Management Association of Singapore, and member of the Board of Governors’ Audit Committee of the United World College of South East Asia.
